Mumbai: Bollywood super star actor Salman Khan on Wednesday sentenced to jail for five year on the case of hit and run by the Indian court, thesenlive reported.

Salman Khan was convicted of hit and run case which resulted one person dead and four injured in the September 28 of 2002.

Salman Khan was convicted of driving car while being drunk in Mumbai, killing one person and letting injured other four persons sleeping on the footpath.

Indian court sentenced the actor for five year jail and ordered his immediate arrest.

He would be shifted to Arther jail in India.

During the hearing of the case, Salman Khan’s lawyer said that his client is spending more than Rs. 42 crore on the philanthropic works in India. The Lawyer added that he will appeal in the high court against the penalty.
